A message from the Band Director:
I hope everyone is having a great summer and getting a chance to practice. Remember to take advantage of this free time to work on your musical skills.
I am having a relaxing couple of weeks trying to enjoy my free time as well. Before you know it Band Camp will be here and lots of fun in the sun!!!
Our show for this Marching season is called "Tribe" A James Logan High School Band & Color Guard Production 2000. Music is from Vincent Persichetti's Symphony for Band, Leonard Bernsteins' Jeremiah Symphony and the Kaddish Symphony.
We have an exciting show for this year and I do hope to see all the parents and relatives at our end of camp performance and Outback Steakhouse BBQ fundraiser. It's always fun to see the kids perform early on and then see how the show progresses.
The Wind Ensemble has been accepted to perform at the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana the first week of April. This means that auditions for this group will be done early...so keep on practicing.
     See you at band camp!

-Ramiro Barrera, Director of Bands

Greetings from your Drum Major
Dear Freshman & Returning Band & Color Guard Members,

It's time to come together during the hot summer and focus on the main project at hand for this year's marching season---our field show. Hopefully the summer has been kind to us and has safely brought us to the Logan field to perform and strive for the best this year.
Together at Band Camp, we gather to put in our talent, sweat and hard work for a field show that will make us proud of our peers, families and most importantly, ourselves.
This year promises to be a fulfilling one, filled with obstacles that we as a group will overcome. Hope to see you there.

-Joey Abad, Drum Major

A message from the Web Site Owners:
Hello, and welcome to the Marching Band section of the webpage. I hope you have enjoyed the content of this site and the brand new look for the site. There have been changes to this site in look, but it still has the same useful information for the James Logan HS Band & Color Guard Programs.
If you are not a member of the Band or Color Guard, don't feel left out. There are many features on this website that will satisfy you. There are sections on this page where you can see pictures of the Band and Color Guard, look up scores, and view our recent highlights. If you are a member in another band, and want to see scores from a recent competition, chances are you can get your score right here.
This site is still maintained by the same person, but now a new member has been added to the staff of the website. Milton Le, a member of the band, is helping this site by providing most of the graphics on this site, and just helps me out with maintaining the site. Don't be shy to ask any of us as many questions as you want. We'll be more than happy to answer your questions. You can contact us at the e-mail address listed on the E-Mail page. If you don't know how to get to the page, look to your left, you'll see a little button the bottom that says "E-Mail." Go ahead, click it. Now you can contact either one of us. Enjoy the site!
